Project Technical Overview
A functional avionics radar ground station. Tuned to the 1090 MHz aviation transponder frequency, the RTL-SDR demodulates pulse-position modulated Mode-S signals, extracts aircraft registration numbers, latitude, longitude, and ground speed, mapping them onto live OpenStreetMap radar screens.
